Caçhaca producer Sagatiba has appointed Nick Woodward to the new position of regional director Northern Europe, covering both domestic and travel retail markets.

Woodward was previously at William Grant & Sons for more than ten years, holding a number of roles within the company, most recently as global travel retail marketing manager.

His main responsibilities in the new role will be to drive Sagatiba in its key European markets of the UK and Germany. Travel retail will be another priority, the firm said this week.

"The travel retail channel offers great potential for building brands," said Woodward. "I hope to capitalise on this for Sagatiba and will be working with our retail partners."

Launched by Brazilian entrepreneur Marcos de Maraes in 2004, Sagatiba is now sold in 26 markets worldwide.
