Russian Standard Vodka is to launch its vodka brands in Slovenia.

The company confirmed yesterday (31 October) that, due to "rising demand for premium consumer goods", its Russian Standard Original, Platinum and Imperia brands will be distributed by the Tobacna Grosist in the country.

Russian Standard Vodka export director Leonid Yangarber said: "We are delighted to bring Russia's number one premium vodka brand to Slovenian consumers and to meet the rising demand for high quality products in this important market. We are particularly pleased to be partnering with Tobacna Grosist, which has an excellent track record of successfully introducing luxury goods in Slovenia."

Tobacna Grosist managing director Borut Kreft added: "Our partnership with Russian Standard Vodka demonstrates Tobacna Grosist's commitment to working with the world's best premium brands. We are confident that Russian Standard will lead the premium vodka segment in Slovenia."

Last year, growth in the imported vodka segment rose by 30.6%, the company claimed.

Russian Standard is now available in over 40 markets worldwide. Next year, additional market launches are planned in Europe, Latin America and Asia.
