By | 18 December 2006

RushNet, the US firm that markets the Rush Beverage Co. portfolio in the US, Canada and Japan, has secured its first distribution deal in the Caribbean.

The company has signed up The Natural Food Center to handle its products, including Rush Ginseng Cola, in Puerto Rico. RushNet said the deal would be "the first of many" in the Caribbean and added that it is in talks with distributors in Jamaica and Trinidad.

CEO Robert Corr said: "We see great opportunity for RushNet products in the Caribbean. The trend toward healthful, quality food products is definitely growing within this region and Ginseng usage there is at an all-time high."

Meanwhile, the company added that it is "making headway" with its move to gain approval to sell its e-water brand in Japan.

The brand's importer was seeking the green light to sell the product, which contains over 50 electrolytes and fulvic acid, in Japan. RushNet said it expects e-water to go on sale in the Asian country next spring.
