US: Rodney Strong Vineyards adds to sales team

US wine producer Rodney Strong Vineyards has added three positions to its sales team in a bid to grow in line with demand.

Jeanine Poirier has been hired as district manager for the Greater Miami area following a three-year spell at Southern Wine & Spirits in Miami. Heather Hanks becomes district manager for the Mid-South region after representing E&J Gallo, Robert Mondavi and Foster's Wine Estates in the past ten years.
 
Meanwhile, Barbara McGinley has been hired as district manager for Illinois, having spent the past ten years in the wine retail and import arena in the Midwest.
 
Carmen Castaldi, company senior VP of sales and marketing, said: "These additional enhancements to our team are another key component to our plan for robust sales growth in 2006. As we continue to meet the increasing demand for our wines in a very dynamic and thriving wine category, we continue to attract top talent from the industry."
