US: Rodney Strong targets luxury outlets in US
Rodney Strong Vineyards has created a new position to focus on ultra premium outlets across the US.
The privately-owned company said yesterday (14 June) that Doug Hengehold will assume the post of vice president of national channel management. Hengehold joins Rodney Strong from Constellation Wines, where he was director of on-premise strategic accounts. Prior to Constellation, Hengehold worked for Southern Wine & Spirits and Beringer Blass Wine Estates.
Hengehold will be responsible for sales-portfolio management focusing on outlets in the restaurant and retail channels throughout the country.
"Part of our strategy for continued growth is to manage the sales of our tiers through the various business levels," said Tom Klein, chairman of Rodney Strong.
Rodney Strong is owned by the Klein family.
