Product Launch - TRAVEL RETAIL: Remy Cointreau's St-Remy a la Creme

Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail is launching in travel retail a luxurious creamy version of the world’s leading French brandy.

St-Rémy à la Crème is the perfect combination of a smooth and unctuous cream with the refined and authentic aromas of St-Rémy French brandy. Rich of texture and subtle of flavour, St-Rémy à la Crème opens the door to a new range of sipping and cocktail experiences.

A black and white cow was chosen as the emblem of this innovative expression to evoke the freshness of the French countryside, the lush sun-bathed meadows stretching towards the abundant vineyards.

Matthew Hodges, Marketing and Business Development Director, Rémy Cointreau GTR, commented: “St-Rémy à la Crème was introduced on a trial basis in North America and was such a success that we were persuaded to release it elsewhere in travel retail. This unique French liqueur cream is a most unusual drink – fresh, delicate, smooth and creamy with a strength of character rarely found in a cream liqueur.”

St-Rémy à la Crème is silky beige in colour with pleasing caramel hues. On the nose there are notes of walnut, chocolate and caramel with a suggestion of vanilla. On the palate it is creamy, smooth and subtle. The flavour of hazelnut, creamy chocolate, coffee and cookies gives a delicious sweet sensation.

Cellar Master Martine Pain describes St-Rémy à la Crème as “an elegant combination of smooth cream and the unique authentic aromas of St-Rémy French brandy” and recommends that it is enjoyed neat, on ice or as a long drink with coffee.

About St-Rémy

The original St-Rémy distillery was established in 1886 in Machecoul, a tiny village located in the Loire valley. St-Rémy met with immediate success in France and began to be exported in the 1920s.
