Remy Cointreau names new Travel Retail executive
Dew previously worked for Puig in Spain before joining Remy Cointreau
Rémy Cointreau has appointed a new marketing & business development head for its Global Travel Retail unit.
Lyndea Dew, who previously worked for Spanish fashion and fragrance company Puig, took on her new role last week, Rémy said. She will be based in Singapore, where she will sit on Rémy's GTR management committee.
The American replaces Matthew Hodges, who left Remy last September to lead the Travel Retail unit at confectionery house Godiva.
Dew spent 17 years with Puig in Barcelona, during which she worked for seven years in Travel Retail, most recently as international retail development director. Rémy said that in her new role Dew will lead brand-building efforts in duty free markets globally in collaboration with central brand teams. This will include retail initiatives to accelerate growth in the Travel Retail channel.
Peter Sant, senior VP for Rémy Cointreau GTR, said: "[Dew] brings a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience to the role, including development of a global Travel Retail marketing strategy for prestige and premium brands and implementation of strategic plan initiatives for retail excellence."
Last month, Rémy's CFO said the group is ready to fight it out with Pernod Ricard and Gruppo Campari in the US as investment floods into the competitive Cognac sector in the country.
