Remy Cointreau has appointed a vice president of human resources for its US unit.

The company said on Friday (25 January) that Bruce Doherty will take on the role, which also includes serving on RCUSA's executive committee, and will report to CEO and president Tom Jensen.

Doherty said: "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help Remy Cointreau USA achieve its vision of being the premium choice supplier. Remy's portfolio of premium brands attracts highly talented industry professionals making my new position one that is very exciting."

Previously, Doherty held top human resources positions at companies including William Grant & Sons, Dataram Corporation, Aquarium Pharmaceuticals and Seton Co.

Jensen added: "With his experience in the human resources industry, particularly his success with employee performance management and development programmes, Bruce will be a strong addition to our team. As we continue to grow, I look forward to being able to draw on his knowledge to help our organisation achieve its goals."

Last month, Remy Cointreau posted a 3.3% lift in sales for the nine months to the end of December. Revenue hit EUR630m (US$925.4m) for the period, with like-for-like growth across the group up by 7.9%.
