US: Reed’s signs Portland Beverage for Maine
Reed's Inc. has announced that Portland Beverage will distribute its product line throughout Maine in the US.
The company said yesterday (16 January) that it has signed up with the family-owned Portland Beverage, known for its portfolio of 'new age' beverage brands including Red Bull, Glaceau, Vitamin Water and Smart Water, to further develop its presence in the US state.
Reed's founder and CEO Christopher Reed said: "As Maine's exclusive distributor of Red Bull, Portland Beverage has developed a strong regional presence with key retail account relationships. We look forward to working closely with Portland Beverage to expand Reed's presence throughout the state of Maine."
In November, the soft drinks producer posted a rise in operating loss for its third quarter. Operating loss for the three months to the end of September soared to US$1.5m from an operating loss of $288,766 in the corresponding period a year earlier.
