US: Reed's adds to exec fold with CFO appointment
DoneReed's has beefed up its management team with the appointment of a new CFO.
The US-based soft drinks company confirmed today (8 October) that David Kane is set to assume the position, reporting directly to company founder and CEO Chris Reed. Kane will be charged with providing financial and strategic leadership to the CEO, management and the board.
Kane joins Reed's from National Lampoon, where he had been CFO since the beginning of this year. Prior to this, he held financial position with a number of distribution, entertainment and marketing industries.
"David's background in merger and acquisitions and industries such as distribution, entertainment and marketing will be a tremendous resource to Reed's as we continue to build out our brand, strengthen our financial reporting capabilities and develop the necessary infrastructure to position Reed's for continued growth," said Chris Reed.
"We believe our ability to continue to attract such high level talent to our executive team is a testament to the strength of our leading brands and significant future growth opportunities. I look forward to working closely with David to further develop and achieve our strategic and financial objectives."
Reed's ginger beverage company develops, manufactures, markets and sells non-alcoholic beverages such as Virgil's Root Beer and China Cola and sells its products across the US and Canada.
