US: Redux relaunches Cocaine brand
Redux Beverages has relaunched its controversial energy drink, Cocaine, which was withdrawn following a warning from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last year.
The re-launched Cocaine energy drink contains the same ingredients as before but the tagline "the legal alternative" has been removed and an anti-drug warning label added. The company has also removed health benefit claims from its website which had not been FDA-approved.
"Since the FDA warning letter last April we have been working closely with them to adjust the marketing of the drink," Redux founder Jamey Kirby said.
The re-launched Cocaine energy drink comes in a red 8.4oz can and will be available in several markets across the US.
