International concern over the health implications of energy drinks reached new heights at the weekend after an Australian nutritionist claimed that mixing energy drinks with alcohol could cause heart problems. The warning coincides with calls for a total and immediate ban of all energy drinks found with high levels of caffeine by Malaysian consumer groups.
