Australian wine group Rathbone has agreed a deal to have its wines distributed in the UK by Bibendum.

The distributor will become the exclusive UK agent for the on- and off-trade for Rathbone's wines from 22 June, the companies announced today (27 May). The Australian firm's portfolio was previously distributed in the UK by Enotria.

A spokesperson said the contract between Rathbone and Bibendum is on a rolling basis with no specified length.

Darren Rathbone, the group's CEO and winemaker, said: "We have big ambitions for the UK and are very pleased to be working with a like-minded independent business to grow our sales."

Rathbone owns wineries, including Mount Langhi Ghiran and Yehring Station, in Victoria, and Xanadu in Western Australia.
