US: Rémy Cointreau USA appoints control state director

US beverage distributor Rémy Cointreau USA has created a new role for a control state director within the firm.
John Byrne will take up the post having spent the past 12 years running the New Hampshire State Liquor Commission.
Byrne was also a past president of the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association (NABCA) where he worked on a range of objectives relating to public policy and industry initiatives.

Our vision is to be the premium choice supplier for the Control State marketplace. We are confident that a true Control State expert partnered with a luxury supplier, will be able to create the type of programming needed to develop our brands and do to so in a responsible manner."
