Newly founded soft drinks firm, Purple Beverage Company, has reported a strong revenue rise in its third quarter.
The US-based group, which launched on the market in late 2007, said revenue its third quarter ended 30 June was US$365,500, compared to $179,500 in the second quarter. Third quarter net loss was $9.5m, it added.
The firm has traded on consumer health trends, claiming its no added sugar Purple drink is a natural blend of seven of the world's most powerful antioxidant-rich juices, including açai berry, pomegranate and blueberry.
Ted Farnsworth, CEO and founder, said: "The progress we have made in Purple Beverage's short history has exceeded our expectations. Purple is already available in many well-known national and regional speciality retail, grocery, and drug stores but we are just beginning to realize our growth potential."
