The Swiss mineral water and soft drinks group, Henniez SA, has reported a net consolidated profit of SF5.75m (US$4.4m/€3.8m) for 2002, representing a 27% increase from 2001.

The company, based in the western canton of Vaud, posted turnover of SF184.4m (US$141.8m/€120.7), 6.2% up from 2001.

Volume sales of the company's fruit juice brands, Granini and Hohes C, rose by 20.2% to 23m litres, with the company attributing the growth to the introduction of resealable PET bottles. Sales of Henniez' mineral water brands, Henniez, Cristalp and Vichy Celestins, rose by 2.3% to 134.3m litres.

The Henniez board is proposing a dividend of SF55 (US$42/€36) per share, the same as last year.
