PepsiCo is to launch a new range of "craft" sodas into the US foodservice channel as it ups its focus on smaller-scale brands.

The five Stubborn Soda flavours follow the release of other PepsiCo craft sodas, Caleb’s Kola and Mountain Dew Dewshine, and will be available on a new soda fountain that offers "a new take on the traditional soft drink experience", PepsiCo said yesterday. The machine, pictured right, features beer-tap-style handles and will carry Stubborn, Caleb’s Kola and Dewshine.

Stubborn Soda, which is still in the pilot phase of its launch, is sweetened with cane sugar. The flavours are: black cherry with tarragon, classic root beer, lemon berry acai, agave vanilla cream, orange hibiscus and pineapple cream.

PepsiCo said: "Following our recent launches of Caleb’s Kola and Mountain Dew Dewshine, we’re continuing to explore the craft space with Stubborn Soda and its unique, contemporary flavour profiles."
