Eckes-Granini will add a blackcurrant variant to its Pago fruit juice repertoire in the UK. Blackcurrant already exists in the European portfolio and is sold in around 30 other countries.

The drink is free from colourings, artificial aromas, sweeteners and preservatives and is described as having "a clean ripe blackcurrant taste with well-balanced sweetness and tannins". A new 12-pack format (down from 24) aims to provide a more affordable entry route to trial the brand.

Last month, Eckes Granini posted a sharp jump in full-year operating profits despite losing volumes and sales.

Pago Fruit Juice has launched its ‘True Colours’ 2015 summer programme of support in the UK that includes a new flavour, a smaller 12 pack format, sponsorship of some outdoor events and customer sampling.
Pago will add Blackcurrant to its repertoire as one of the only competitors to Ribena in the UK marketplace. A classic English fruit flavour with Pago’s trademark vibrant colour this special edition offers intense flavour, free from colourings, artificial aromas, sweeteners and preservatives and is described as having “a clean ripe blackcurrant taste with well-balanced sweetness and tannins”.

A new 12 pack format (down from 24) offers customers a more affordable entry route to trial the brand and maintain a wider range of flavours. There is also a buy three cases, get one free offer available during the summer with further offers for new and loyal customers.


For consumers Pago Fruit Juices will be available at the bars throughout the summer at the Luna Cinema open air pop-up cinema events and the Secret Garden Festival 23-26th July in Huntingdon with free tickets and ticket offers available through Pago’s Facebook page. For trade customers, Pago will also be at the Imbibe show in June.

Pago Fruit Juices are served in 200ml glass bottles with distinctive yellow caps with thirteen flavours available in the UK. It is stocked by most major wholesalers as well as national retails chains such as Carluccios, Hilton Hotels and the Soho Group.
