Pivovarna Lasko to sell Fructal to Nectar

Pivovarna Lasko has received  shareholder support for the sale of its Fructal juice business to Serbia-based Nectar.

Lasko said today (1 August) that shareholders have voted to approve the EUR35.3m (US$50.8m) deal, which was announced last week. It will see Lasko yield a 93.7% stake in Fructal to Nectar, primarily in order to pay off debt.

Slobodan Radun, the president and owner of Nectar, said that Fructal is "one of the most reputable brands in the region".
