US: Philadelphia Distilling appoints ex-Pernod Americas CEO

Philadelphia Distilling has appointed former Pernod-Ricard Americas CEO Alain Barbet as senior advisor to the company.
In his role, Barbet will advise management on expanding its distribution, strategic brand development and overall operations of the company, the distiller said today (9 April).
Barbet was most recently chairman and CEO of Pernod-Ricard Americas, where he managed the integration of Absolut Vodka, overseeing brands such as Absolut, Chivas Regal, Jameson and The Glenlivet.
"The addition of Alain Barbet to our management team strengthens our organisation and brings a depth of experience in the industry that will benefit Philadelphia Distilling, both internally and within the spirits industry," said Andrew Auwerda, president of Philadelphia Distilling.
"His focus will be in helping to grow our brands on a national and international basis, thus expanding our company and raising it to the next level."
