FRÏS VODKA RELAUNCHES WITH NEW LOOK AND DYNAMIC NEW FLAVORS
New York, NY (July 23, 2012)
Frïs Vodka, the world’s leading freeze-distilled vodka, is re-launching its award-winning brand and unveiling a new range of flavors with a distinct frozen twist.
Invented in Scandinavia, Frïs is created through a patented freeze-distillation process unlike any other. While most vodkas use heat to remove impurities, Frïs utilizes a continuous distillation process and then it is chilled to 14 F (-10C). The process allows impurities to be frozen and extracted so only the purest, most refreshing flavor remains. The result is a smooth, dynamic vodka that captures the spirit of Scandinavia, where high standards are a priority, great design is revered and innovation is a way of life.
To mark its relaunch, Frïs has created a dramatic new bottle design inspired by the brand’s geographic roots. A chiseled ice-grey exterior embodies the deep chill of the Nordics and marks a confident departure from the staid packaging of traditional vodka brands.
Reinforcing its heritage as a leader in innovative spirits development, Frïs has formulated the new Frïs vodka and flavors to deliver a delicious, shivering sensation with every sip. Frïs® Citrus Freeze marries the quality of freeze-distilled vodka to the clean, crisp taste of freshly cut citrus fruit and Frïs® Orange Freeze elevates the intensity of juicy orange with the light freshness of mandarin.
“We are very excited to reintroduce this innovative vodka here in the US,” Maxime Kouchnir, Vice President, Vodka, Pernod Ricard USA. “No other vodka is created in quite the same way as Frïs and now, along with the new flavors, the new distinct packaging better communicates the character and uniqueness of the product inside. Our new range of offerings enables consumers and bartenders to take familiar tastes to a new level and add a refreshing edge to favorite cocktails.”
Best enjoyed ice-cold, Frïs Vodka and the newest Frïs flavors – Orange Freeze and Citrus Freeze - will be available beginning in September and another exciting new flavor, Frïs® Whipped Freeze, will be introduced in 2013. The re-launch of Frïs Vodka will be supported both on premise and off premise through branded one-case bins including case cards with other POS materials available, such as shelf talkers, posters and recipe neckers. Frïs Vodka will be available in 375mL, 750mL, 1L and 1.75L sizes with a suggested retail price of $10.99/750ml; $19.99/1.75L.
Born in Denmark in 1989, Frïs Vodka (pronounced "FREEZE") was invented at Denmark’s historic Aalborg Distillery, one of the oldest in Scandinavia. It is produced from all natural whole grain and pure spring water and is the recipient of several gold medals from the prestigious San Francisco Spirits Competition. It is owned and managed by The Absolut Company, a company within the Pernod Ricard Group
