UK: Pernod Ricard unveils Christmas spirits campaign for UK

Pernod Ricard has launched what it claims to be its biggest ever targeted spirits marketing campaign in the UK.

The company's UK arm said today (1 December) that the push will include advertising in retailers' publications in the country, including Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda. Following this initial run, specially created videos will be hosted on Tesco.com giving demonstrations on how to create Christmas cocktails.

The print advertising campaign will showcase the range of gift boxes offered by Pernod.

"We know that at Christmas consumers often face a tough time trying to buy spirits that are not part of their usual repertoire," said Dan Reuby, head of marketing for spirits at Pernod Ricard UK. "This campaign is designed to educate and guide them whether they're investing in a special bottle to sit under the tree or looking for a warming cocktail to sip by the fire."
