US: Pernod Ricard senior VP trade relations to retire

Pernod Ricard has announced that its senior vice-president for trade relations in the US, Chuck Smith, is to retire.

Smith will step down after a decade working for Pernod, the France-based wine and spirits giant announced today (22 June). A successor has not been named.

Smith began his career in the alcoholic drinks industry with E&J Gallo Winery in 1971. In 1991, he worked for Remy Cointreau as executive VP of sales in the US.

Jim Evans, senior VP for sales at Pernod Ricard USA, said: "As a member of the PRUSA Executive Committee, Chuck has helped to deliver strong business results, while using his extensive industry knowledge to benefit our company and the industry."
