Pernod Ricard has appointed a former William Grant employee to the newly-created role of vice president of wine sales in the US.

The company said today (14 August) that Dan Grunbeck has been appointed to the position at Pernod Ricard USA Wines in an effort to increase the company's emphasis on its wine business in the country.

Grunbeck, who has 18-years of industry experience, joins Pernod from the role of senior vice president of sales/national sales manager for the US division of William Grant & Sons. Grunbeck has also previously worked as senior vice president, national sales manager, for Seagram Chateau & Estate Wines.

In his new position, he will report to Stephen Brauer, general manager for wines and Champagnes at the unit.
