US: Pernod Ricard in Kahlua ‘bail-out’ for Christmas parties

By | 2 December 2008

Pernod Ricard coffee liqueur brand Kahlua is offering five small businesses in the US a bailout grant to be used towards a Christmas party.

From today (2 December), eligible individuals from companies that have had to cancel their holiday party can apply for a US$10,000 bailout grant from Kahlua, Pernod said.

Kahlua will select one business from each of the five eligible states (Texas, Colorado, Massachusetts, Georgia and Illinois).

Applicants will have to describe the type of holiday party they would like to throw in order to apply for the competition, and Kahlua is encouraging those entering to be "creative".

"Kahlua has been a guest at many a holiday party and, given the current state of the economy, we thought it the perfect time to return the favour," said Melissa Frank, global brand director for Kahlua.
