Pernod Ricard has announced its newest global advertising campaign for Malibu, Radio Maliboom Boom, as part of its ongoing "Get Your Island On" promotion.

The new campaign for Malibu, a coconut-flavoured rum, features four 30-second spots on the online radio station created by Great Works. During the spots, radio personalities will broadcast music to the world from the Radio Maliboom Boom studio on a beach in Barbados.

Created by Publicis London, the Radio Maliboom Boom campaign debuted in the US on 3 August and will expand to Canada, Spain, the Netherlands and other markets in the coming months, said Pernod today (5 August).

The campaign will be supported in the US through television and online executions, in addition to public relations elements.

Ozlem Citci, Malibu Global Brand Director, said: "Radio Maliboom Boom takes our existing advertising initiative in an exciting new direction. Through a fully integrated experience, we're inviting our consumers to become a part of the 'Get Your Island On' crusade."
