US: PepsiCo to pay dividend

PepsiCo has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.48 per share on the soft drinks firm's common stock.

The dividend, which represents a 7% rise on the same period of last year, is payable 30 June to shareholders of record on 4 June, said Pepsico.

PepsiCo last month reported a 26% rise in profits in the first quarter of 2010. The group reported strong volume gains for its international drinks division.
