PepsiCo's international soft drinks operation, PepsiCo Beverages International (PBI), has signed a global marketing pact with the Spanish football club, Real Madrid Club de Futbol, which will see the Pepsi brand continue its relationship with the world-famous Spanish team.

"Football delivers excitement like no other sport in the world and Real Madrid is among the elite teams in terms of championships and fan recognition," said Antonio Lucio, Chief Marketing Officer, PepsiCo Beverages International. The deal will include both advertising and promotional activities but detailed plans were not disclosed.
