PepsiCo has teamed up with 7-Eleven Handee Marts in the US to display its recycling kiosks in the retailer's stores.

The deal, announced yesterday (14 June), will see PepsiCo's 'Dream Machine' recycling bins available at around 20 7-Eleven stores in Pittsburgh. The scheme is designed to provide residents with a "convenient location to dispose of recyclables", the soft drinks giant said.

The computerised kiosks include a reward system, through which consumers can earn points for every bottle or can they recycle. The points can be redeemed for discounts on entertainment, dining and travel.

In addition, the more bottles and cans recycled in Dream Machines, the more support PepsiCo said it will provide to the 'Entrepreneutrial Bootcamp for Veterans', a national programme offering free training in small business management to post-9/11 US veterans with disabilities.
