PepsiCo announced the changes today

PepsiCo has revealed who will take on the responsibilities of its departing group president, and has appointed a new CEO for its Europe business.

Enderson Guimaraes, currently the group's Europe CEO, has been appointed executive VP for global categories and operations. In the role, Guimaraes' responsibilities will include overseeing the company's global beverage, snacks and nutrition groups, procurement, its supply chain and corporate strategy.

Guimaraes, who joined the firm in 2011, is taking over the functions of PepsiCo's president Zein Abdalla, who is leaving at the end of the year, the company announced last month

Ramon Laguarta, currently the group's president for developing & emerging markets in its European unit, is replacing Guimaraes as the firm's Europe head. He will be charged with managing its food and beverage business across Europe and food business in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The appointments take place with immediate effect, a PepsiCo spokesperson confirmed to just-drinks. The spokesperson was unable to say who will be replacing Laguarta in his current role.
