PepsiCo has sold two- and five-year notes worth US$1.75bn

PepsiCo has completed the sale of US$1.75bn-worth of notes.

The first tranche, worth $750m, will mature in two years, the soft drinks giant said today (4 May), while the $1bn notes will mature in five years time. Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, PepsiCo said.

The sale was managed by Bank of America, Citigroup and Royal Bank of Scotland.

Last week, PepsiCo reaffirmed its full-year earnings outlook, despite recording a drop in first quarter profits.
