Sales of PepsiCo in Norway topped the 80 million litre mark in 2001. This means that the US company has increased its sales volumes in the country by 70% since 1998.

PepsiCo's managing director for the Nordic region, Paul Andersen, attributed the company's growth in Norway to its partnership with local drinks company, Ringnes. Andersen added that Pepsi Max is now the second biggest-selling soft drink brand in Norway.
