PepsiCo has appointed a new managing director for its businesses in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, according to local reports.

APA Economic News Service said yesterday (18 July) that Oswald Barckhahn was set to replace Hermann Gottwald in the position.

Barckhahn, 39, has been with PepsiCo since 2003, prior to which he worked for Procter & Gamble in Switzerland. His responsibilities in the role will focus on client relations and expanding PepsiCo's market position, the news service noted.

At the same time, PepsiCo has appointed Michael Stahr to be CFO of the regional unit. Stahr, who has been with the company for ten years, will assume the post from 1 September.

No-one was available at PepsiCo to confirm the story when contacted by just-drinks today.
