US: PepsiAmericas approves latest dividend

By | 25 July 2008

PepsiAmericas has approved its dividend for shareholders, despite difficult market conditions.

The PepsiCo manufacturing and distribution arm will pay out US$0.135 per share on 1 October, it announced today (25 July). It also plans to increase its share re-purchase programme by an extra 10m shares.

The dividend comes despite a 3% volume decline in North America for PepsiCo Americas Beverages in the three months to 14 June, and increasing pressure from an economic slowdown in the US.

Sectors: Soft drinks, Water

Companies: PepsiAmericas, PepsiCo
