Pepsi-Cola has confirmed the departure of its vice president of marketing for non-CSDSs in North America.

The company said today (21 November) that Chris Kempczinski will leave its North American unit to join Kraft as senior vice president for meals and enhancers. Kempczinski starts at Kraft on 1 December.

In his last role at Pepsi-Cola NA, Kempczinski has been responsible for setting brand strategies and creating marketing and advertising programmes for the company's non-CSD brands, including Aquafina, SoBe, Tropicana juice drinks, Dole single-serve juices, AMP Energy, and the brands of the North American Coffee Partnership, its joint venture with Starbucks.

Kempczinski joined PepsiCo in 2000 in the corporate strategy & development group, before assuming the non-CSD marketing position two years ago.

Details of a replacement for Kempczinski were not immediately available.
