SOUTH KOREA: Patrón strikes distribution deal

By | 7 December 2006

The Patrón Spirits Company has struck another distribution deal in Asia with an agreement covering the South Korean market.

Patrón, producer of the eponymous ultra-premium Tequila, has signed the deal with local distributor SBK, which also handles the Barton Brands portfolio in South Korea.

Patrón COO John McDonnell said SBK had a "proven ability to build successful brands". He said: "They are also one of the few distributors in the region to ship the majority of their accounts direct, which will further help speed delivery of our brands to the market."

The deal with SBK begins on 1 January and follows Patrón's recent distribution deals in Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan.

"Asia has been an import focus for The Patrón Spirits Company as we continue to grow our business and introduce our portfolio of spirits to more people around the world," McDonnell added.
