By | 12 December 2003

Jones Soda Co. is reshuffling its board of directors. The company announced yesterday that it has appointed one new director, while the chairman is standing down.

Jack Gallagher, formerly president of Optiva Corporation/Philips Oral Healthcare, moves on to the board. Peter van Stolk, Jones' president and CEO, said in a statement: "We are excited to bring in a new member to the board with such great operational experience and a proven track record in running a consumer product branded company."

The company also announced that Peter Cooper will be resigning as director and chairman of the board of directors. Due to other substantial business commitments, Cooper is no longer able to serve in the capacity as director of Jones Soda. Van Stolk will move into the position of chairman.
