USA: Nightclub & Bar Trade Show Returns to Windy City
"Chicago is a city unlike any other in the country, and this is a trade show unlike any other," says Ed Meek, director of the Nightclub & Bar/Beverage Retailer Convention and Trade Show, to be held Monday Wednesday, Nov. 6-8, in Riverside Center East at the Hyatt Regency on Wacker. "It's all about making money and boosting profits, period. No other show in the industry offers more moneymaking ideas."
Produced by sister publications Nightclub & Bar Magazine and Beverage Retailer, the trade show first bowed in Chicago in 1994. "We always knew we'd come back," Meek says. "Chicago is a great bar town, and we're the No. 1 bar show. It's a perfect fit."
Thousands of industry leaders and hundreds of exhibitors will be on hand to swap profitable ideas and display the latest and greatest products on the market. In addition, a full track of 20 seminars and workshops will feature the nation's top club and bar experts and nationally renowned speakers. Seminars cover the gamut, from hot new promotions and marketing strategies to club and bar management, technology, money-making products and cost-cutting techniques.
In addition to the serious business of building profits, the show also offers plenty of networking opportunities in a fun, high-energy atmosphere. Special events include a Windy City Blues Party at the Hyatt on Monday, Nov. 6, and a Chicago Club Tour on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
After staging successful trade shows in Las Vegas, Memphis, Tenn., and Orlando, Fla., earlier this year, the Nightclub & Bar/Beverage Retailer Convention and Trade Show will host its final convention of 2000 with this regional show in Chicago. This event is recognized as the leading Midwest show for owners, operators, managers and directors of nightclubs, bars, resorts, hotels, taverns and restaurants.
