Nichols is to launch Vimto Remix, an extension to its Vimto range that combines the original's taste profile with fruit flavours.

Vimto Remix will roll out in the UK from this month and is targeted at families and teenagers, Nichols said. Two flavours will be available - Mango, Strawberry & Pineapple and Raspberry, Orange & Passion Fruit.

As with original Vimto, Mango, Strawberry & Pineapple comes in carbonated, squash and RTD still formats. The whole Vimto Remix range is no-added sugar.

"We know that shoppers who buy Vimto are likely to buy other flavours too in order to satisfy their taste for variety," said Vicky Marsden, senior brand manager for Vimto. "We're confident the Vimto Remix range will provide the additional choice that existing Vimto fans will now look for, as well as encouraging new consumers to buy into the brand."

Prices for the new range are:

  • GBP1.89 per one-litre Raspberry, Orange & Passion Fruit squash
  • GBP1.89 per one-litre Mango, Strawberry & Pineapple squash
  • GBP1.69 per two-litre Mango, Strawberry & Pineapple carbonate
  • GBP1 per 50cl Mango, Strawberry & Pineapple RTD single
  • GBP2.69 per six-pack 25cl Mango, Strawberry & Pineapple still

Last week, Nichols credited its export sales with propping up the top line in 2015, as its domestic performance slipped in the period.
