Hall & Woodhouse has sold its soft drinks brand Panda to food and beverage group Nichols Plc for £5.5m.

The companies said that the deal includes the Popzone concept of 'pick and mix', which is retailed through supermarkets.

In its last full year, Panda had annual sales of £11.5m. It will add Nichols' soft drinks business, which had sales of 27.5 mln stg in 2003, and includes the Vimto brand.
