Maxxium has appointed a new global sales director. The company today announced that Ingo Hohorst will assume the position, based in Amsterdam, and will report to Guillaume Penot, executive director, sales and operations.

Hohorst joins Maxxium from Diageo in London where he spent 9 years in sales and 4 years in strategic management positions, including sales development. After that he was involved in consultancy work with Cegos Consulting and Dohrn & Timm (a German 'own label' manufacturer).

In a statement, Penot said: "Ingo's experience in sales development and his strong management track record make him the perfect fit for the role of global sales director. Ingo will be a great asset to the management team, and we look forward to working with him."

Hohorst's appointment comes following the departure of Craig Cooper who resigned from Maxxium to relocate to New Zealand, and is effective immediately.

Maxxium is a global partnership between V&S Group, The Rémy Cointreau Group, Jim Beam Brands and The Edrington Group. Its core activities are the marketing, sales and distribution of premium wines and spirits in key world markets, with the exception of the US.
