The CEO of Nestle Purina Europe will take over the running of Nestle Waters, following the retirement of it's current CEO.

The company said today (22 June) that John Harris will take over from Carlo Donati and will be named executive vice president when he takes on his new position in December.

Donati, who spent 34 years with the Nestle Group, was named CEO of Nestle Waters in 2005, transforming the group into a nutrition, health and wellness company. Harris was appointed CEO of Nestle Purina Europe in 2002. In 2005, Harris became responsible for Nestle Purina in Asia, Oceania and Africa.
