SOUTH KOREA: Nestlé Waters JV unveils US$53m factory
Nestlé Waters formed the JV in 2004
Nestlé Waters has opened a US$53m factory in South Korea though its joint venture in the country, Pulmuone Waters.
The factory, in Edong, Gyeonggi Province, will make the brands Pulmuone Saemmul by Nature and Nestlé Pure Life, Nestlé Waters said today (10 July). Bottles produced in the factory will be made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic and have a “short cap” design to reduce waste, the company said.
Pulmuone Waters was set up in 2004 with South Korean food and bottled water company the Pulmuone Group
CEO and chairman John Harris said today the JV has “achieved consistent growth in recent years.”
