National Wine & Spirits has seen a healthy increase in revenues and income in the three months to 1 July.

Revenues reached US$166.1m versus US$144.7m during the same quarter last year, leading to operating income of US$4.3m versus US$2.7m during the prior year's quarter.

Net income reached US$2.3m compared to US$0.1m during the prior year's quarter.

The wines and spirits distributor said that net income was up due to increased spirits case volume in the product sales segment. Product sales revenue increased US$21.5m during the quarter, of which US$19.9m was due to increased spirits sales.
