Nascent Wine Co. has secured another distribution deal in Mexico after striking an agreement to handle the brands owned by Italian water group Ferrarelle.

Victor Petrone, president of Nascent Wine Co., said the Mexican drinks market was "fertile" and that the company is looking to become a leading player in the sector.

He said: "Expanding our product base gives our company the versatility it needs to become a leader in the Mexican food distribution market. Adding quality products such as Ferrarelle only substantiates this model."

The deal, signed late last week, will see the Ferrarelle portfolio join a stable including the Miller beer brand, which Nascent Wine represents in Baja California.
