US: Mondavi releases Woodbridge mini-pack
Robert Mondavi has unveiled a smaller, portable version of its Woodbridge wine brand in the US.
The Californian wine company said yesterday (12 June) that the mini wine pack, offered in a 187ml glass bottle 12-pack, will be on sale in the country from this month. Woodbridge mini-packs will be available in Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals.
"As the first in the wine industry to produce a 187ml 12-pack, Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi is once again showing our leadership and innovation when it comes to meeting consumer demand," said Kevin Conner, marketing director for Woodbridge. "We know consumers have many different needs when it comes to wine, and not all are met with one 750ml bottle. This wine pack comes in a convenient format that is ideal for all occasions."
The 12-pack bottles will carry screwcap closures.
The Robert Mondavi business is part of Constellation's Franciscan Estates independent fine wine company, having been acquired by Constellation Wines US in early 2005.
