Employees at Molson's Edmonton brewery have ratified a collective agreement with the brewer. The seven-year agreement with regional warehouse employees in Quebec, was also ratified by 93% of the members in the past week.

The three-year agreement at Edmonton, ratified by 79% of unionised employees at the brewery, will take effect from 1 April.

The agreement, in line with others approved earlier this year in Toronto and Montreal, will enable the Edmonton brewery to achieve its production strategy targets, Molson said yesterday.

The Edmonton agreement will provide 122 employees with pension enhancements, wage increases in the range of 3% and improved insurance benefits. The workers also agreed to greater workplace flexibility to meet Molson's production strategy.
