Molson Inc. has switched two of its senior managers. Speaking to The Globe and Mail last week, a spokeswoman confirmed that Rob Assimakopolous replaced Gino Cantalini as vice-president of marketing for the company's flagship Canadian brand of the same name in April.

Sylvia Morin, Molson's vice-president of corporate affairs, told the paper that Cantalini is now a vice-president in Molson's product innovations group. She said he and Assimakopolous have effectively switched jobs.

Molson Canadian has been steadily losing market share to discount beers and imports, the paper noted, and was recently unseated as the country's best-selling beer by Budweiser.
