A deal that will see two of North America's largest brewer Molson and Adolph Coors may be announced as early as tomorrow, according to the Wall Street Journal today.

The report said that Adolph Coors and Molsonare preparing to announce a US$6-billion merger plan.

The board of directors of Canada's Molson meet later on Wednesday to vote on the deal, while the board of Colorado-based Coors, led by Chairman Peter Coors, is understood to support the deal, the paper said, citing unspecified people familiar with the matter.

The companies confirmed earlier this week they were engaged in merger talks.
