MeadWestvaco is using this year's Drinktec exhibition to demonstrate its recently-launched packaging machinery systems for the drinks industry.

The US-based firm said earlier this week that it will present its 'OneTech2 Combo', 'MiniTech', and 'Ultima' systems at the trade fair, which runs for all of this week in Munich.

The OneTech2 machine has been designed to run a range of primary containers, as well as various secondary and tertiary packaging configurations, said MeadWestvaco (MWV). The multipack options, which can all run on the machine, include MWV's Duodozen, Cluster-Pak, and BasketWrap carriers.

The MWV Ultima, meanwhile, is the industry's fastest multiple packaging machine for can-pack wraps, the company claims. It enables the customisation of a line to run multiple configurations of cartons, including 2-, 3-, 4- and 6-can packs - semi-enclosed or fully enclosed.

MWV will be demonstrating the systems in hall A2, stand 502 at Drinktec 2009.
